The Puppet
After returning home for a family visit, a female student, Xiaoman, mysteriously disappears and is found dead under strange circumstances. Her best friend, Qianqian (Tang Jiawen), along with her teacher and three classmates, travel to Yuanyao Village to gather folk songs and stay overnight. Their real purpose is to uncover the truth behind Xiaoman's death and seek revenge.
Why was Xiaoman, the daughter of a troupe owner, found dead in the wilderness, clutching a puppet? Why is her soul trapped within the puppet, and why does she wreak havoc at midnight? Was it suicide, or was she manipulated by someone else? Who is the true culprit, and why did he kill her? Qianqian decides to investigate the mystery on her own, bravely entering the haunted house to seek justice for her best friend.
